This all-women event opened with a musical segment by Sadhvi Shailasa Bharti ji, Facilitator, PEACE Program. Through a series of Bollywood songs centered on motherhood, the session conveyed the message that mothers shape not only their children but also generations and the society as well. One of the Bollywood songs that echoed through the hall was from the film 'Neerja', featuring emotional lyrics expressing a child's bond with her mother: 'Heera kaha, kabhi nagina kaha, mujhe kyun aise paala tha maa...' The song reflected the sentiment that while a mother sees her child as priceless, the world may not share that vision, yet the mother stands firm in her love and protection.
The next session was led by Sadhvi Parma Bharti ji, Facilitator, PEACE Program, focusing on parenting techniques. It addressed the importance of balanced outlook in raising children, also exploring the roles of discipline and leniency. An activity involving preparation of flat-breads in various shapes was judged by attending dignitaries. Prizes were also distributed to winners based on creativity and execution. Next, a cultural segment followed, during which participants engaged in traditional Indian dances such as Garba and Dandiya. The session was designed to highlight the diverse dimensions of motherhood. Sadhvi Parma Bharti ji also shared insights on the multifaceted role of a mother, emphasizing that a mother often navigates multiple relationships, mother and a mother-in-law as well, requiring balance and understanding, overcoming grudges that may arise while handling these roles. Sadhvi ji shared several life lessons, one of which was, 'Say no to bitterness and yes to forgiveness!'
Sadhvi Tapeshwari Bharti ji, Principal Coordinator, PEACE Program, conducted a breathing and pranayama session titled 'Pran-Yog for Super Moms.' The session emphasized how specific yogic practices can support mothers in managing stress and anxiety, providing practical tools for emotional regulation and mental clarity.
In the concluding session, 'Awakening Soulhood for Motherhood,' Sadhvi ji stated “Motherhood reaches its fullest expression through inner awakening. When the dual energies within, feminine and masculine are harmonized through the knowledge of BrahmGyan, a mother becomes a conscious guide for future generations. Today, under the aegis of Divya Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, this transformative knowledge is being imparted to millions of women globally, enabling them to fulfill their roles with clarity, strength and purpose.”
Expressing her experience, Ms. Shivali Chatley (Counsellor, Greater Bendigo) stated, “Today, as we honor Mother’s Day with Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, I offer my deepest respect to all mothers and divine souls present. We gather not only to celebrate our mothers, but also the sacred feminine energy embodied by Maa Durga-symbol of strength, love and righteousness. A mother’s love is not just emotional, it is divine, nurturing and empowering us with boundless Shakti.
